18th June 2013:⎯ Blickling Textile Conservation Studio
What a lovely day, sun shining, good company and a most interesting tour of the conservation studio. The attention to detail and the way sympathetic work is undertaken was explained by several of the conservators. Our understanding of the work involved in the restoration of textiles has been greatly enhanced by our visit. It was a privilege to see behind the scenes and watch the girls at work on some of the most precious textiles we have in this country, dating back to the 16th century

11th May 2013:⎯ Flower Pounding Workshop
The flower pounding workshop with Linda Rudkin was a huge success. Although the event was very noisy, lots of hammering (not just the chatter) some beautiful work was produced by all those attending.

2nd March 2013:⎯ NLM Lace Day Speaker Linda Rudkin 'Colours From Nature'
The Lace Day was once again a resounding success, with over 100 people attending. £350 was raised for the East Coast Hospice. Linda Rudkin gave a fascinating talk about natural plants for dying fabric and transferring natural dyes using the flower pounding method. She has written two books on these subjects.
