Leslie's Lace Collection

My collection of lace, postcards, bobbins and tools needed to make lace has amassed over many years. It consists of lace work that I have made myself, and some old laces. Bobbins that tell the story of my time making lace.

I have used my old laces as a tool for learning about lace and its history. They have helped me to understand how to identify the many and various kinds of lace there are.

I would like to share with you part of my collection, which I hope will showcase different methods of lacemaking techniques. The Honiton lace cross on the left was made for my mum which she had mounted into her bible.
